Power Web Service (API)
General
Power Web Service is the new Application Programing Interface (API) developed by CIM to enable the integration of CIM Metal Plate Systems (MPS) with customer's production systems & lines, allowing an ease and intuitive operation.
Power Web Service allows to remotely control CIM MPS machines and customizing metal-plate production batches by using common printer-like functionalities. In fact, this is the ideal solution to develop a customized operation of CIM MPS machines and their integration-path with the customer’s production management software.
Communication between Power Web Service and a HTTP API is possible by using JSON files, an open standard file format used worldwide. Files contain the metal plate layout and its associated marking data. Power Web Service organizes all files received in a print queue. Production starts automatically and status-check can be made at any time. Furthermore, by using the logging function, it is possible to audit production events.
Power Web Service is available in two versions: Power Web Service Standard and Power Web Service PRO (PRO stands for Protected). The PRO version adds security features to the Standard version, becoming an ideal solution for organizations/companies that meet high security standards. It uses the TLS-protected communication protocol (HTTPS) and stores sessions in memory. In addition, the PRO version uses blockchain technology to store production logs, which guarantees high level of security and protection against tampering.
